Five Things

Hello! Welcome to another installment of Five Things. This is the first one of the year. So much has happened already its hard to believe its only March. Lets start with some of my absolute favorites.

This Saturday I had the best day ever! I literally spent the whole day just pampering myself. I started off with this amazing hair spa experience at the Body Craft Spa and Salon. My love for my hair care rituals is well documented on the blog. This time I tried the Olaplex treatment, which is a two step process to restore compromised hair by repairing any broken bonds.

The first step is a concentrated solution that starts the process of preventing damage and repairing hair. The second step is a mask like substance that continues to rebuild and restore any remaining broken bonds ensuring the strongest, shiniest, and healthiest hair possible. I added the Olaplex treatment to my regular hair spa routine and I absolutely loved it! My hair felt softer and visibly shinier. I am a fan. I wish I could do one of those shampoo commercial hair flips to show you how soft and shiny my hair felt at that moment, but you’ll have to settle for a good old selfie

So after the super indulgent hair spa, I moved on to a relaxing manicure & pedicure and finished off with a facial. Let me say it again, best day ever! If you follow us on Instagram you might have seen some of it already on our stories. If you’re looking for a good spa or salon experience in Bangalore, you must try Bodycraft. I have one really close to where I live now, and I end up going there for everything. They are literally a one stop shop for all your beauty & salon needs.

Nykaa Paintstix

Left to Right: 12 -grunge brown, 09- bomb shell berry, 02-cool girl nude, 01-nude spice, 10- rebellious red, 06- chick flick pink, 11- hearts n kisses, 04- peaches n cream, 03- no chill orange, 07-rock n roll, 08-purple monster

Next up are these absolutely gorgeous lipsticks from Nykaa. They are the newly launched Nykaa Paintstix. They were nice enough to send us the entire collection and I have been doing my happy dance since. They are soft and creamy, very very pigmented and come in a good variety of colors as you see above. They are priced very affordably and make it extremely easy to pick up multiple colors from the range. The only downside for me is that they are very transferable, but can be easily fixed with a light dusting of loose powder.

Also how awesome did this picture turn out? I spent days thinking about how to swatch these on something other than my arm and I finally settled on art paper. Turned out better than I’d hoped

Meanwhile Bidisha has been traveling all over the country with the Roadies crew. With little cell coverage and crazy shooting schedules all we see of her are these pictures of stunning locations she sends us from time to time. Here she is infront of the Kakanmath temple in Madhya Pradesh. Constructed in the 11th century, part of this monument was destroyed in an earthquake since and lies in ruins. But as you see, whats left is still stunningly beautiful. Follow us on Instagram to see more of her journey through the country!

Speaking of traveling, here’s Anisha looking out from the window at a fish and chip place in Norwich. Have you seen her Cuban travel posts yet? You absolutely must, especially the one with the candy coloured cars!

Finally, I have one more thing. This is the new Instax Mini 7s, also known as the apple of my eye. Or pineapple, I prefer pineapple. This thing has taken over my life! I can’t stop taking pictures. Taking a picture with the Instax and having the polaroid pop up instantly and being able to touch and see it is the single most satisfying thing since..well polaroid cameras. And this one is so much cuter! There are so many different ways to make your pictures look so much cooler with this thing. And the polaroids are such a fun way to decorate any space. I am in love!
